Quick Troubleshooting Guides
Audio & Mic IsolationWindows privacy and dedicated microphone setup.
- Open Windows Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone.
- Enable microphone access for desktop apps.
- In SimpleShare Settings > Audio, select the exact USB interface or microphone.
- Close other recording apps if the device reports that it is busy.
Hardware Acceleration & NVENC4K export stability and encoder fallback.
- Install the latest NVIDIA Studio or Intel graphics driver.
- Keep at least 10 GB of free space on the export drive.
- Close GPU-heavy games and browsers before a 4K export.
- If hardware export fails, retry with the software encoder and attach the error to a support ticket.
Moving Licenses to a New PCRelease an old activation before moving.
- Open My Licenses & PCs and look up the purchase email.
- Confirm the machine name and HWID fingerprint for the old computer.
- Select Deactivate and confirm the seat release.
- Install SimpleShare on the new PC and activate with the same license key.
